RULES & REGULATION
Enrolment in Sur Saarang Sangeetalaya implies on the part of the students to comply with the rules and regulations of the school.
Parents are expected to co-operate with the school by enforcing regularity and punctuality, observing only holidays indicated in the fee card.
the school reserves the right to increase fees at any time of the year if an increment is deemed necessary.
The school fees cover twelve calendar months. No reduction is made for holidays or broken periods. All fees should be paid within 15the of every month. After 15the of the month a late fee Rs. 100.00 will be charged till the last day of the month. All school fees are payable in advance. Fees for October to December should be paid within 31st October every year and Advance fees of January & February alongwith a registration fee to be paid within 1st week of December otherwise seats will not be kept for the next year.
The students who remain absent for more than one month without prior intimation to the authority will not be allowed to continue their classes and their seats will be allotted to the new applicants. In case they wish to rejoin the institution they will have to pay the due fees and also a fresh admission fee will be charged and their names will be put in the waiting list. If there is no seats available immediately.
The school fee card is a record concerning the students, therefore all students should take special care of the fee card and bring it at the time of payment of monthly fees. If it is lost the pupil concerned should get a ner Fee Card after paying the cost of the card.
The school authority will conduct internal examination once a year.
From time to time a parent teacher contact programme will be organized by the institution if required. I this regard parents are requested to attend the said programme at any case.
Certificates will not be issued to the pupils who leave the institution without completing the course.
Pupil’s have to follow the course framed by this institution/Trinity College of Music, London/Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, Kolkata. To be eligible for the external examination fee is to be deposited at the time of filing in the forms for the examination candidate by Trinity College of Music, London (Western Music) and Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, Kolkata (Eastern Music).
To abide by the rules and regulations of the institution is must for all the students admitted to this school.
- Minimum 70% attendance compulsory during a course for a students who intends to appear in external examination.
Irregular attendance, negligence in lessons, misbehavior, disobedience and disrespect towards the authorities may lead to expulsion/dismissal from the institution without notice.
Students are strictly forbidden to bring with them the persons who are not related to this institution.
Strict discipline should be maintained within the school campus.
Damages done to the school properties will invite a fine. Mobile phones are not allowed to bring the school.
Students are bound to follow the routine framed by the institution.
Instruments belonging to the institution will not be allowed to use outside the classrooms.
Students are expected to be punctual.
- Students should practice their lessons each day at home. If any students is found careless in his/her lesson, he/she will not be supplied with any new lesson and he/she will have to repeat the same lesson which has been taught in the previous class.
One month written notice of withdrawal must be given to the Principal if they wish not to continue any more.
- Students whose fees are in arrears will not be permitted to do any internal and external exams.
Parents are requested not to discuss any school matters with teachers during the school hours. Parents who wish to seek information or mark complaint or suggestions should contact the Principal (and not the subject teacher) at the appointed time between 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Students are requested to mark and wear their uniform compulsory on Seminar, Internal and External Exams. Annual Prize Distribution and any other programmes organized by the institution. No student will be allowed to enter without uniform in the programme.
Western Section (Guitar / Piano / Keyboard / Violin & Fine Art):—
- Boys : Black pant, Black Coat or Sweater and Blue shirt with navy blue tie.
- Girls : Black Skirt or pant, Black Coat or Sweater and Blue shirt with name blue tie.Vocal Students it can be obtained from M/s. Gajanand Kalooram, Chowk Bazar, Darjeeling, Phone : 2254824.
Eastern Section (Vocal, Dance, Tabla):—
Boys : White Kurta Paijama.
- Girls : White Kurta Paijama with sky blue dupatta, It can obtained from M/s. New Delhi Store, Chowk Bazar, Darjeeling.
SCHOOL BADGES
All the students should have a school badge which can be obtained from the office and should wear it one all the class days.
